What we deliberately left out

Personal records aren't public information

Alongside the official school documents used to build this site, we were also given some files that turned out to be personal records belonging to identifiable individuals — a private class timetable, a personal exam script, and an unrelated university society election manifesto touching on someone's personal identity. None of that is information about the school; it's private information about specific people who didn't choose to have it published here, so none of it appears anywhere on this site, regardless of how it came to be saved alongside the official documents.

Separately, an internal parents' newsletter from 2019 named a number of then-current students by name in the course of routine school reporting (competition teams, volunteering rotas, and so on). That document was written for a closed family audience, not general publication, so we've used it only for general, unattributed facts about school culture — never to reproduce a specific named student's personal activity.

We treated the school's own public-facing marketing differently: the prospectus's first-name-only student testimonials, and the school's own published alumni profiles (also first-name and leaving-year only), are things the school itself chose to put in front of the general public, so referencing them the same way the school already does is a different matter — see school life and alumni.

Methodology

Facts here are either quoted/closely paraphrased from an official document with a page citation, or drawn from a live web source with a link. Where we found a genuine discrepancy between sources — like the school's own site saying "Castle Street" against Ofsted and DfE records saying "Castle Road" — we report the disagreement rather than silently picking one.
