What extracurricular activities can students access?

The full range on offer at neighbouring Exeter College — sport, music, drama and more — plus EMS's own additional activities, usually timetabled after school or at lunchtime so they don't clash with College activities. See school life for specifics.

Who is my child's tutor?

Every student has a tutor who meets with them at least weekly, assigned ahead of induction week.

What support is available for SEND?

Ofsted's 2024 report found that "teachers and tutors support those students with high needs and special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) very well," making "thoughtful adaptations to teaching and resources," with SEND students achieving in line with their peers. The school describes a four-part cycle: assessing need, planning support with the student and family, implementing it, and reviewing termly.

What if I don't want to take both Physics and Computer Science?

You take a fourth subject at Exeter College instead — anything from their full range of A-levels, BTECs and enrichment courses. See curriculum.
