For 2025, the school's own results page cites 9 students securing Oxbridge places, while a separate source puts it at 4% of the cohort — the two don't reconcile from what we could find, so both are reported rather than one being picked. Separately, 93% of leavers progress to higher education or training, including 66% to Russell Group universities (year not fully confirmed).

Students are exceptionally motivated and highly value their learning. They regularly produce work of a high standard which significantly exceeds what is expected of students at this stage in their education.
Leaders and teachers are innovative in the way in which they enhance the student learning experience. They ensure that the limitations regarding the size of the school's learning space do not hinder the students' experience.
Teachers teach students to understand fully the fundamental concepts behind the complex mathematical skills they develop... students develop a deep understanding of how to apply their knowledge, which extends significantly beyond the expectations of the qualification's specification.
Teachers and tutors support those students with high needs and special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) very well... students with SEND achieve in line with their peers.
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.
The school's residential/boarding provision was separately re-inspected in November 2025 and again rated Outstanding across all three categories — covered by Devon local press in January 2026 as the school's "third" Outstanding verdict, alongside the original January 2017 inspection.
